New York Botanical Garden

New York, NY

Founded in 1891, The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG/the Garden) is the most comprehensive botanical garden in the world and an integral part of the cultural fabric of New York City. More than one million people visit the Garden in the Bronx each year to connect with nature and for plant-based exhibitions, public programs, and classes for all ages. The 250-acre verdant landscape and landmark Enid A. Haupt Conservatory support living collections of more than one million plants. The LuEsther T. Mertz Library holdings include 11 million archival items spanning ten centuries. Committed to protecting the planet’s biodiversity and natural resources, Garden scientists work on-site in cutting-edge molecular labs and in areas worldwide where biodiversity is most at risk.

Bow Bridge has been engaged by NYBG since early 2018 to provide strategic communications support to a number of Garden initiatives and programs including promoting annual special exhibitions inspired by artists; the restoration of the Palms of the World Gallery in the Conservatory the rollout of #PlantLove (a social media initiative); educational offerings, research capabilities, and resources; and the collections and the Garden’s stewardship of them as a living museum. Bow Bridge also helps coordinate press events and advises on communications and marketing efforts.
