Memorial Art Gallery, University of Rochester

Rochester, NY

The Memorial Art Gallery (MAG) showcases visual art from antiquity to the present day, including an outdoor public Centennial Sculpture Park. MAG has a permanent collection of more than 12,000 objects. The 14-acre campus is a much-loved public art space that is a popular destination for residents and visitors to the city. In addition to its permanent collection, MAG offers a year-round schedule of special exhibitions, lectures, concerts, tours, after-hours social events, and family activities.

Bow Bridge was retained by MAG to promote its 2020 exhibition The Path to Paradise: Judith Schaechter’s Stained-Glass Art, the first survey and major scholarly assessment of this groundbreaking artist’s 37-year career. Bow Bridge provided communications counsel and media outreach assistance to help position MAG as a dynamic institution in western New York with a rigorous exhibition program contributing to the study of and public engagement with art.
